Introducing Creative Alliance Milwaukee!

(posted: Apr 13, 2011)

We are delighted to welcome you to your new creative industries services organization – Creative Alliance Milwaukee, Inc.  Based on the research results of our Creativity Works! Milwaukee Regional Creative Industries Project we are transitioning from serving just the nonprofit arts sector to serving the full creative industries cluster. This cluster includes the nonprofit arts/culture organizations, individual and sole proprietor creatives, and the for profit creative goods and services businesses.

Our current services include:

  1. 1) a new website called The Creative Hub – where creativity meets commerce in Southeast Wisconsin. The Hub will provide a directory of individuals and businesses engaged in the creative industries, a ‘gig’ bank where you can find jobs, calls for auditions, internships, etc., listing of local and national resources serving the creative industries, listings of events throughout the creative community, and other services helpful to growing our creative industries cluster
  2. 2) opportunities for networking and other events connecting the creative community
  3. 3) a membership program designed to offer you access to promoting your business as well as offering special discounted resources
  4. 4) increasing community awareness of the value and impact of creative education
  5. 5) promoting the economic development role of the creative industries throughout the region and the state.
  6. 6) managing and developing the Milwaukee Arts Education Directory. This is the region’s only online arts education resource – a directory of community arts education programs available to teachers and youth serving program officers throughout the region.

Given the magnitude of this transition, we are still a ‘work-in-progress’ so you will see continued updates to our work. For example, we are working on a new branding identity and what you see currently is a bridge to our new look. This website needs more tweaking and refinement. Your feedback on any and all of our services and activities is very welcome.

Most importantly, we exist to support the needs and interests of growing the creative industries economic cluster. We look forward to working, and playing, with you!
