Why do you see Milwaukee as a good city for creatives?
Milwaukee is a great city for creatives for many reasons. Milwaukee has the ability to pay attention to the creativity of both individuals and organizations that would be otherwise overlooked in a larger city. The diversity of Milwaukee also plays a role by bringing together different cultures and backgrounds and acting as a creative playground. Organizations and businesses in Milwaukee value creativity and work to foster the continuation of creative growth by keeping museums and small businesses open, and also funding workshops and networking opportunities for the community. The Milwaukee community supports a vibrant arts and culture scene that includes an opera, orchestra, ballet, zoo and a variety of other amenities often unavailable in a city of its size. BizTimes is part of a robust local media and publishing industry that fosters healthy competition as well as creative collaboration.
