Performing Arts

Performing arts in the Milwaukee region encompasses the major disciplines of music, theater, and dance, as well as spoken word. It also includes the performance venues where the public enjoys them, including many fairs, festivals, and outdoor concert series. Nonprofit performing arts organizations and venues are a major presence. There are approximately 130 in the region, with revenues totaling at least $116 million per year, and assets totaling over $200 million.
